AK 5.0 out of 5 stars It was a toss up between this and the much more expensive Devilbiss ProLite. I am glad I purchased this gun. It did a fantastic job with Auto Paint and after several projects I think getting the air pressure and flow correct is the secret to getting a great finish with this gun. I know that Gunman recommends the higher priced ProLite but he sprays everyday and can probably see a finish difference between the two. He did come around finally and admit that this gun is great for spraying topcoats. It might be many years before I could see a difference. The gun is well built, was extremely consistent, and I don't plan to replace it.http://cljzj.com/uploads/file/2020/09/190906253781.xml
It will be fantastic for auto painting and cabinet refinishing.Upgrading to the FLG-670 is a game changer. It is SO much easier to get a nice finish. Adjustment is much easier and much more precise. The atomization is incredible. Laying down a wet coat is trivial as is avoiding runs. In fact, you'd have to have the gun setup completely wrong and hold it in one place to get a run.It also has much less overspray (you can set the fan just like you want) and that stretches the paint a long way. Don't forget it comes with three caps, 1.3 1.5 and 1.8, that is extra value right there. I'm sure there are better guns, and if you paint for a living you probably aren't looking at this gun anyway. This is the gun. Get it, it'll make you a lot better.I switched to multi gun setup as I was tired of cleaning between BC and CC constantly. Anyway, I picked up this gun and decided to run a test on a panel to determine the proper settings after reading some of the reviews. The thing I will say is that I am not sure if it was because of my air source but for the best results I tuned this gun down on inlet pressure to achieve the best results. It took some finessing but I have finally gotten the gun dialed in where I can lay really a really nice surface and even clear coat with minimal orange peel. But that was NOT the case right out of the box. First of all, I highly recommend cleaning this gun before initial use. It really needs a strong cleaning (mine did). Second, I recommend you dialing the air inlet pressure back some and adjusting the fan settings accordingly as this was the biggest eye opener for me. I was surprised at how different the settings were as compares to the Tekna Pro, the Gti, and other manufacturers that I tested. That said, I agree with many others that have posted, this gun can lay some nice paint and even clear coat. If you are on a budget and need a quality gun that will give you options with the tips I would say this is a great gun to consider.http://doggiedoo-doodisposalservices.com/clientMedia/file/descargar-manual-mdsolids.xml
I also had similar feelings about the Gti as well (It is more money but the quality is higher too). Last piece of advice is IF you are not getting optimal results initially be patient and make some adjustments to see what differences are made. Make notes of the settings that yield the best results and I am sure you will enjoy this gun!Never enough coverage or poor pattern or absolutely dry and horrible laydown. A little bit of research and a few videos later, I took after a large car trailer with this gun. The primer went on like a DREAM. Perfect coverage, perfect pattern, laid down exactly as I thought it always should and the way it looks when others do it. Easy to pull apart and clean, simple to use, looks great, and easy to maneuver into tighter corners. Definitely a winner in my book. Highly recommended - it made painting what I'd always thought it should be.This comes with a 1.3mm tip a 1.5mm tip and a 1.8mm tip a metal cup and an inline adjustable pressure regulator. I used the 1.5mm tip to spray satin silver PPG on a hood and bumper cover. I used the 1.3mm tip to spray the clear. Considering that I had never done this before it turned out looking really good. I had to buy an inline filter which I ordered at the same time as the gun. I also had to purchase a desiccant air dryer and a regulator which I bought at harbor freight and mounted directly after the compressor. The air dryer works as it should but make sure to order extra beads because you have to change them after every session. I used the cheap harbor freight purple gun to spray the primer and it did a really good job. The only problem I had was my own fault. There are also different types of tack cloth be careful which one you choose and when using do not use pressure. It did include 1.3, 1.5, and 1.8 tips; the 1.3 was already installed. Cup is metal, and the air pressure regulator and gauge are Devilbiss pieces, of good quality. I bought it for a good primer gun, and with the 1.
8 tip, it should do very well.I have used it for solvent base coat and it lays it on nice and flat. The gun has an excellent feel in the hand and appears to be well built. I have only been using it in the shop for a couple of months but haven't had an issues with it so far. It comes with an assortment of 3 tips which is nice and saves from having to buy them separately. I bought the FLG-671 for waterborne after using this gun. I would buy this paint gun again. The Torx driver fits the trigger retaining screw and just flip the tool over to remove the self-adjusting needle packing, while the combination spanner fits all the hex fittings on the gun. It really is that simple. With the air separation chamber removed, the front end of the gun is totally accessible for thorough cleaning so no more surprises with yesterday’s colour arriving a day late! It’s called the GTi Pro LITE. Ergonomic and Economic Our engineers have taken the industry leading GTi Pro and reduced its overall weight by 25%.
They’ve improved the performance and ergonomics of the professional refinisher’s favourite gun, while achieving new levels of fit and feel ensuring unbelievable handling for incredible results. Those clever engineers at DeVilbiss have also developed a coaxial linear air valve that eliminates the need for separate air and fluid control valves. This dramatically reduces gun weight, cleaning and maintenance time, while providing total trigger control and a seamless blend of air and fluid for brilliant blends and fantastic fades. It is no secret that refinish materials and in particular waterbornes, are affected by temperature changes in the spray booth. As most spray booths only heat the input air, the outside air temperature can lead to the spraying temperature being either too high or, in extreme cold climates, too low. The flexible atomisation platform, which is a key part of the GTi Pro LITE specification means the correct set-up will ensure perfect application and accurate colour matches, while maintaining the ultimate finish quality. The design uses EPA compliant atomising (Devilbiss Trans-Tech ) technology to reduce overspray and improve coating efficiency. Nozzles and Needles are manufactured in Stainless Steel. If the finish is too dry reduce airflow by reducing inlet pressure. If finish is too wet reduce fluid flow by turning needle screw (14) clockwise. If atomisation is too coarse, increase inlet 1. Turn off air supply and relieve pressure in the airline, or if using QD system, disconnect from airline. 2. Empty coating material into a suitable container and clean the gun and cup, preferably in a gun wash machine. 3. IMPORTANT the cup must not be cleaned or rubbed with a dry cloth or paper. It is possible to generate a static charge, by rubbing, which if discharged to an earthed object could create an incendive spark and cause solvent vapours to ignite. Only use a dampened cloth or antistatic wipes if additional cleaning is Installation electrical bond from the spraygun to earth should be checked with an ohmeter. Operation air pressure. If too fine reduce inlet pressure. 6. The pattern size can be reduced by adjusting valve (8) 7. Hold gun perpendicular to surface being sprayed. Arcing or tilting may result in uneven coating. 8. The recommended spray distance is mm (6-8 ). 9. Spray edges first. Overlap each stroke a minimum of 50%. Move gun at a constant speed. 10. Always turn off air supply and relieve pressure when gun is not in use. Preventative Maintenance required in a Hazardous area. 4. Remove air cap and clean. If any of the holes in the cap are blocked with coating material use a toothpick to clean. Never use metal wire which could damage the cap and produce distorted spray patterns 5.
